Connected by boardwalks over the stream, this moist, rich woods is dominated by 20-30 year old white cedars with sporadic rock elm, white birch and white spruce. Only a few plant species are able to compete with the relentless proliferation of cedar roots. But look for jack-in-the-pulpit, baneberry, bottle gentian and various kinds of violet.
