Education and Consulting

Consulting/Education

With over 25 years of horticultural experience, we would like to share our knowledge so that others will discover the joys and benefits of gardening with native species. We offer on-site consultation services for environmental restoration projects and native landscaping.

We are also available to speak to interested groups of 20 or more on several topics each year between November and April.

Topics for 2010 will be:

  1. The 100-Mile Garden – Moving Beyond The Purple Coneflower

This is an introductory level presentation covering topics including the benefits of gardening with native plants and the planning, design, plant selection and cultural requirements to ensure a successful outcome.
  2. Rock Gardening with Natives

This presentation is a step-by-step (pictorial) guide of our experiences transforming a forest devastated by a tornado into a rock garden rich in both biodiversity and design. Suitable for all levels of gardener as well as those interested in environmental restoration and conservation
